ED RN Job in Modesto, CA

Doctors Medical Center of Modesto is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in the Emergency Department. This is a full-time position working 12-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM.

Your Role

You will provide direct clinical care to assigned patients throughout your shift, assessing patient needs, planning interventions, and implementing nursing care. You will maintain responsibility for supervising delegated tasks and ensuring all patients receive high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care. As the clinical lead on your team, you will maintain staff competency standards and manage resources effectively to support patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and plan direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift basis
• Implement evidence-based nursing interventions and monitor patient responses
• Assume supervision responsibilities for staff to whom care is delegated
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
• Manage primary patient care responsibilities (patient care falls primarily on nursing staff, not CNAs)
• Maintain clinical competency of your team and support appropriate resource utilization

Assignment Details

This 13-week contract begins September 16, 2026. Please report to the onboarding location at 7:00 AM on your start date. You will work 12-hour evening/night shifts in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,332.80.
