Job Details:

• Day shift position
• 36 or 48-hour shift schedules available; schedule may change based on staffing needs
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend coverage required on a rotation basis
• Team nursing ratios of 1:12, split between 2 RNs, 2 LPNs, a medication nurse, and charge nurse
• Patient ratios of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• ADN accepted for this position
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Manage patients with diagnoses including altered mental status, strokes, uncontrolled seizures, post-craniotomy, Cardene/Cardizem drips, and lumbar drains
• Perform and manage skills including cardiac telemetry, central line care, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and continuous EEG monitoring
• Support from interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must hold an active RN license in Tennessee or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application; RTO will not be approved after an offer is made
• If assignment includes end-of-year holidays, must be willing to work 2 of 3 if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall during the assignment, or at least 1 of 2 if only 2 holidays fall during the assignment
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
