Med Surg RN Job in Kansas City, Missouri

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri is hiring a travel RN for a Med Surg role in inpatient rehabilitation. This is a 91-day assignment beginning December 14, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Med Surg / Rehabilitation
• Shift: 4x12 nights (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with 48 hours guaranteed, rotating weekends required
• Weekly pay: $2,360
• Patient ratio: 1:5

Work Environment

You will work across two 15-bed inpatient rehabilitation units (2N and 5W). Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are available on the units when census reaches 9 or above. Agency staff float first per the facility's floating policy. No on-call requirements.

Clinical Responsibilities

Your day-to-day work involves patient care on rehabilitation units. You will utilize equipment including gait belts, patient alarms, and patient lifts. Documentation occurs through the Meditech system. Med/surg experience is required; rehabilitation experience is a plus. No advanced skills are needed for this role.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS certification required
• Medical/surgical nursing experience
• Dress code: Navy blue scrub top with navy blue or black bottoms
