Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will work as an RN on a 28-bed Medical Surgical unit at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN. This is a travel position with a 91-day contract starting November 16, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3 nights per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) with flexible weekdays
• Weekly pay: $1,881

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a patient ratio of 6:1 on night shifts
• Perform IV and foley catheter placement
• Manage IV pumps and use Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
• Operate equipment including Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter, and remote telemetry
• Document using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Follow patient experience protocols including BSSR and Hourly Rounding

Unit Environment

• Support from unit secretaries and 2-3 Patient Care Technicians on day shifts
• Floating policy is PRN, typically between Medical Surgical units
• Strong assessment skills required

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• NIH certification
• CPI certification preferred

Dress Code

• Black or royal blue scrubs required
