Med Surg RN Job in Kirksville, MO

You will work nights as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg Rehab unit at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri. This is a 13-week travel assignment running 3×12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Your Role

You will provide nursing care for up to 10 inpatient rehab (Swing) patients, with a 1:10 patient ratio when caring for swing patients only. Patients in this unit require less intensive care than traditional Med Surg patients, though skill requirements remain the same. If swing volume drops, you may be assigned Med Surg patients. Floating is required, primarily within Med Surg for patient assignments, though you may float to other units for tasking that matches your existing competencies.

Schedule and Requirements

• Night shift: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 3 days per week
• Weekends are required
• Call is required with no standing call; you may be placed on call if volume supports, with no more than 48 hours of call-off time per contract
• 48-hour weekly guarantees may be accommodated
• Blocked scheduling requests may be accommodated (no week on/week off)

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Rehab or Med Surg experience required
• BLS certification required

Unit Details

The unit contains 10 beds. You may wear any solid-color scrubs. The facility uses MedHost as its electronic medical record system.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,102.40 for this 91-day assignment beginning October 19, 2026.
