ED RN Job in Long Beach, CA

St Mary Medical Center Long Beach is seeking an RN (Registered Nurse) for its Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026, offering you the chance to work in a dynamic Level 2 trauma center serving adult and pediatric patients.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• Evening shift with 2:30 PM start time
• Available shift windows: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM, 7:30 AM–8:00 PM, 9:30 AM–10:00 PM, 11:30 AM–12:00 AM, 2:30 PM–3:00 AM, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must be available for 2 of 3 major holidays, rotating with core staff
• No floating to other departments

Role Details

• Patient ratios: 3:1 and 4:1
• 26-bed ED with trauma bays and 5-bed fast track
• Daily patient volume ranges from 40 to 160 patients
• STEMI and CVA receiving center
• Independent cardiac monitor strip interpretation required
• Responsible for all lab draws (no IV team on site)
• Work with ventilated patients
• Charting via Cerner FirstNet
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 3 to 5 years emergency department experience
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• BSN not required

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,064
