Telemetry RN Job in Orangeburg, SC

MUSC Health Orangeburg is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry unit. This is a 91-day travel position offering 3x12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) at $1,944 per week.

Role Details

• Patient ratio of 1:6 on a new 18-bed unit currently building from the ground up
• Bedside monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• Every other weekend required; no on-call responsibilities
• Facility may call off one shift per two-week period
• Block schedule requests may be submitted for approval but are not guaranteed
• 24/7 house supervisor coverage available; no off-shift management on-site but leadership accessible by phone

Requirements

• 2 years of nursing experience in medical-surgical and telemetry settings
• Demonstrated competency in dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry on-unit monitoring
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• South Carolina license or Compact license in hand before start date (September 22, 2026)
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital background preferred

Patient Population

You will care for adult and geriatric patients presenting with common medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, end-stage renal disease, chronic respiratory illnesses, and arrhythmias.

Support and Environment

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, and unit secretaries. Scrub color is Royal Blue. Free parking is provided.
