Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with 30-minute lunch break
• Weekend requirement every other weekend (nights: Friday/Saturday/Sunday; days: Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday work may be required based on unit needs and staffing availability
• Patient ratios typically 1:5-6, with 1:4 ratio for COVID patients
• Care for patients with infectious diseases including COVID, MRSA, C-Diff, and other isolation conditions
• Work on 18-bed unit with all private rooms designed for infectious disease patients
• Strong knowledge in Med-Surg, infectious diseases, and isolation precautions required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Administer typical Med-Surg IV medications, antibiotics, and Heparin (no cardiac drips)
• Remote telemetry monitoring available with RNs not required to read strips
• May be required to float to other Med-Surg units as first priority for floating
• Royal blue scrubs required (scrub jackets optional but must be royal blue if worn)
• EPIC charting system used
• 2-day orientation: 1 day EPIC training, 1 day floor orientation with preceptor
• May be called off for low census depending on contract terms
• Valid driver's license required for submission
