ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Travel experience required
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24 orientation hours required
• Maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work two of them
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required skills include: arterial line management, care of ventilated patient, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, and triage
• Treats patients across all age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
