Med Surg RN Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Lakeside is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a 91-day travel assignment on a 32-bed Medical/Surgical Orthopedic unit in Omaha, Nebraska. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with every third weekend required (weekend days are Fridays and Saturdays). No on-call or standby responsibilities.

Your Role

• Care for medical and surgical patients with a specialty focus on post-operative cancer intervention, including prostatectomy and mastectomy procedures
• Maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio on a unit where nurse aides are available at a 1:15 ratio, dependent on sitter needs
• Titrate drips including heparin, lidocaine, and TPN
• Monitor central telemetry and respond to rhythm changes
• Float rarely, and only to other medical/surgical units when needed

Unit Features

Requirements

• Current Nebraska nursing license
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Navy scrubs required on unit
