Med Surg RN Job in Ogallala, NE

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on the Medical-Surgical unit at Ogallala Community Hospital, located at 2601 N Spruce St. This is a 3x12 night shift role with an 89-day contract beginning November 9, 2026. You'll earn $2,253 per week.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care according to organizational policies and professional standards
• Reviewing patient history and physicals with patients and families, ensuring timely completion
• Reviewing diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Developing and implementing individualized plans of care, including discharge planning based on patient-specific needs
• Providing direct patient care and coordinating activities across the healthcare team
• Supervising licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Evaluating patient and family response to care and teaching, adjusting the plan as needed
• Documenting assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Participating in unit and facility shared leadership, contributing to education and orientation of staff, patients, and families

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in Nebraska
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting, with experience in the Medical-Surgical specialty within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
