OR RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Operating Room RN for a 13-week contract position. You will work day shift (3x12 hours) in a 22-bed operating room with a 1:1 patient ratio, providing direct care during surgical procedures.

Your Role:

• Support a wide range of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, GYN, GYN Oncology, Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT, Plastics, Burn, Urology, Podiatry, and Colo-Rectal procedures
• Work in a facility with a large robotics program (robot experience preferred)
• Manage patient care with consistent 1:1 ratio assignments
• No floating to other units required
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule averaging 2 eight-hour shifts per month

Shift & Schedule:

Day shift work (3x12 hours per week). The facility maintains 24-hour in-house coverage with day and overnight teams. Contract duration is 13 weeks, starting September 1, 2026.

Compensation & Benefits:

Weekly pay is $1,946. Hospital-provided scrubs are included.

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

System & Environment:

You will use the Meditech EMR system. The operating room environment is modern and collaborative, with no mandatory floating to other units, allowing you to build expertise in surgical nursing.
