Job Details:

• Work in a 43-bed Emergency Department caring for patients of all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; additional preferred certifications include CPI, NIHSS, TNCC, ENCP, FHM
• Key skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, drug overdose management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, isolation precautions and PPE, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this unit
• 12 orientation hours required
• If one or two major holidays fall during assignment period, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during assignment period, traveler is expected to work two of them
• Maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
