Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Day/Evening patient ratios are 5:1 (with potential stretch to 6-7); Night ratios are 6-7:1 (with potential stretch to 8-10 if staff calls in)
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• Required to float within scope to meet facility needs, including Med/Surg, ICU, and ED units
• Block scheduling available but not guaranteed
• No on-call requirement
• No more than 7 days of requested time off; holiday RTO not accepted
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement required
• Must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Must be skilled in use of Rapid Response Teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management
• Must follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Experience working with cardiac and stroke patient populations; patients include adults and geriatrics
• Must be comfortable operating Hoyer lifts
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• New York state nursing license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
