Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 36 or 48 hours per week
• 13-week or 26-week contract available
• Every other weekend required; must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• May float between sections on occasion as needed
• 4 years of experience required; candidates with 2+ years of experience will be considered
• RRT certification and BLS required
• ACLS required; ACCS preferred
• Virginia state license required; pending license accepted provided temp license can be obtained before start date; must have another state license to be eligible for temp license
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Provide respiratory therapy services to adult and geriatric patient populations
• Skills include adult critical care, BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, mechanical ventilation, intubation assist, extubation, bronchoscopy, arterial blood gas drawing and interpretation, tracheostomy care and management, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Work within a multidisciplinary team environment across Surgical/Neuro, Heart and Vascular, Medical, and Unit Rotation service teams
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills required
