Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units and sister facilities
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred
• Telemetry competency required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Charting system: Epic
• Free parking on site
• Skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tubes, CVA management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, cardiac drip management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral and PICC line management, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care/management, wound care/wound vac
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Common patient diagnoses include diabetes, hypertension, CAD, seizure, CVA, TIA, and chronic renal disease
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
