Occupational Therapist Job in Santa Cruz, CA

Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA is seeking an Occupational Therapist for inpatient rehabilitation services. This is a 91-day travel position beginning October 12, 2026.

Position Overview

You will provide occupational therapy services to patients in the Rehab Therapies and Cardiac Rehab units, with the ability to float between hospital units and to acute rehab as needed. Your work will focus on inpatient care for patients with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, stroke, cardiac rehabilitation needs, and orthopedic conditions.

Schedule and Compensation

You will work 5 days per week on 8-hour day shifts. Shift start times range from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break included. Every other Saturday or Sunday is required, with 2 weekend days scheduled within a 4-week cycle. When you work a weekend shift, a day off is provided during that week. Holiday coverage is assigned by sign-up sheet. Your schedule is created by the staffing captain. Weekly pay is $2,310.

Requirements

You must hold current BLS certification. Minimum 2 years of acute care experience is required; 3 to 5 years is preferred. You must have demonstrated experience working with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiac patients. ICU experience and outpatient or home health experience are preferred. Experience with physical disabilities is preferred. Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred.

Facility Details

Dominican Hospital uses the Cerner electronic medical record system. Dress code requires black or dark-colored pants with burgundy dress shirts or polos.
