Occupational Therapist Acute Care Job in Crescent City, CA

Sutter Health Coast Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in acute care rehabilitation. This is a 91-day position starting September 14, 2026, with a 5x8 day shift schedule at $2,812.32 per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients in the Acute Rehab department with availability to float to Acute Inpatient based on census needs
• Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs to help rehabilitate patients impaired due to illness, injury, or psychological or developmental problems
• Complete and document patient evaluations and tests per established standards and regulatory requirements
• Develop and update patient Plans of Care (POC) based on assessment data, identified problems, and diagnosis
• Assess and provide treatment for patients per plan of care and established standards
• Coordinate patient care with other care providers and support team members
• Provide clinical supervision to assistants and/or aides
• Serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Prepare and complete accurate documentation in medical and departmental records including electronic health records (EHR)
• Participate in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each use
• Work flexible shift assignments including variable days of the week and hours

Requirements:

• Occupational Therapist licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
• Minimum 2 years of experience
