Occupational Therapist

Opportunity:

OT - Therapy Rehab Inpatient

Job Details:

• Experience in a hospital setting required with ability to float between outpatient and inpatient care
• Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs to rehabilitate patients impaired due to illness, injury, or psychological or developmental problems
• Complete and document patient evaluations and tests per established standards and regulatory requirements
• Develop and update patient Plans of Care (POC) based on exam data, identified problems, and diagnosis
• Assess and provide treatment for patients per plan of care and established standards
• Complete all documentation related to charge capture per established standards
• Coordinate patient care with other care providers and support team members
• Work flexible shift assignments including variable days of the week and hours
• Provide clinical supervision to assistants and/or aides
• Serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Prepare and complete accurate documentation in medical and departmental records including electronic health records (EHR)
• Participate in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each use
• Maintain strictest confidentiality of all patient Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Retain certification and complete mandated continuing education requirements
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: OT - Occupational Therapist, BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (AHA or ARC)
• Hand certification preferred
• Valid California state license required
