About this role

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for their 32-bed Telemetry unit in Stockbridge, Georgia. This is a 70-week travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $1,814.40.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: 3x12 days per week with typical every-other-weekend rotation
  • Patient ratio: 1:5–6 on days and nights, 1:6 on weekends
  • Patient population: Adults to geriatrics with cardiac and medical diagnoses

Required Experience & Credentials:

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; prior travel experience is required
  • Current Georgia or Compact nursing license
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Demonstrated competency managing continuous IV cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, and Nitroglycerin
  • Experience with diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
  • Telemetry competency exam required upon hire
  • Epic charting system experience preferred; Pyxis and SBAR utilized

Clinical Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Hemodynamic monitoring, central line care, and blood product administration
  • PICC line management, heparin protocols, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
  • Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care, including TR Band management
  • Rapid response and code team participation as needed
  • Floating within the facility and scope of practice as required

Patient Conditions & Diagnoses:

Arrhythmia management, cardioversion, CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary conditions (COPD, pulmonary edema), PE, DVT, stable cardiac arrhythmias (A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia), post-cardiac cath care, DKA, and occasional vascular, orthopedic, or CVA patient overflow.

Facility Support:

24/7 access to respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation support. High-flow oxygen and BiPAP management available through respiratory therapy.

Contract Terms:

  • Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO finalized at submission
  • Call is rare with 2-hour response time
  • Holiday expectations: work all major holidays if one or two fall within assignment; work two of three or more
  • Navy Blue scrubs required

Prior charge nurse experience is preferred. First-time travelers are not accepted for this role.
