Cath Lab Technologist Job in Bakersfield, CA

Memorial Hospital - Bakersfield is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to join the cardiac catheterization laboratory team. This is a travel position lasting 91 days, starting November 9, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work 10-hour day shifts on a 4x10 schedule with every other weekend involvement. On-call participation is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays to support emergency and urgent procedures outside scheduled hours. When on call, you must be able to respond to the facility and be ready for procedure within 30 minutes of notification. You will remain reachable by designated communication methods and maintain reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform in a documenter role only if RT license is not held; scrubbing is not permitted without RT license
• Work with cardiac, electrophysiology, structural heart, and vascular/neuro/peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Monitor and process hemodynamic and electrophysiology data
• Assess procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness prior to cases
• Obtain and manage supplies for individual cases
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory
• Provide professional patient care in accordance with appropriate scope of practice
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality throughout the hospital stay
• Utilize Cerner as the charting system

Requirements

You must hold current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI Certificate or RCES. A BSN is not required.

Compensation & Details

Weekly pay: $3,286. This is an acute care setting position at an established facility.
