RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift position on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Weekend requirement of 2 shifts every other weekend; night shift can be Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on existing rotation
• No on-call required
• Float within service line required at times
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, Fire Safety
• Epic charting experience required
• Navy scrubs required
• Free parking available
• Care for adult Medical/Surgical/Oncology patients
• Required skills include: accessing and managing ports, administration of chemotherapy, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, monitoring chemotherapy, MS/Tele, PCA, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry oncology, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Unit includes two Comfort Care Suites for end-of-life patients
• Interdisciplinary support includes unit secretary
