ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
• Emergency Department setting with 40 beds and an average of 145 patients daily
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Minimum 1 year of current ED RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ALS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC (PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC); CPI Blue card required
• Trauma Level 1 or Level 2 experience preferred
• Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred
• CPI certification preferred
• Perform rapid assessment (ESI Triage), comprehensive nursing assessments, focused reassessments, and pain assessment and management
• Conduct sepsis screening and interventions, stroke screening and interventions, and trauma level 1 and 2 activations
• Provide pediatric emergency care and behavioral health crisis intervention
• Perform vital sign monitoring, EKG, defibrillation, IV insertion, blood collection, and blood culture collection
• Assist with sutures, staples, wound care, and splinting
• Administer medications and blood products, and assist with procedural sedation
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, EKG machines, ultrasound machines, Belmont, Lifepak, and GE Transport Monitors
• Ideal candidate is an experienced ER nurse who is a team-player, motivated, and ambitious with a priority on patient care experience
