Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

You'll work as an RN on a 20-bed Neuro Medical/Surgical floor at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, providing direct patient care with a 6:1 patient ratio. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Two weekends (four shifts) required per 4-week schedule
• Weekly pay: $1,763

Unit Environment

• Tech support available on both day and night shifts
• Unit secretary present 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Documentation via Meditech system
• Bedside shift reporting with patients and family members

Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver attentive and compassionate care to patients and families
• Start IVs and perform basic wound care
• Maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Prioritize and multitask across your patient load
• Work with IV pumps, telemetry, sequential compression devices, continuous pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, patient-controlled analgesia, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)

Important Notes

Contract labor staff are first to float by rotation when multiple contract staff are scheduled. You'll be part of a collaborative team focused on patient-centered care and family inclusion in the plan of care.
