Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Float position covering multiple Med/Surg Tele units as needed
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Float pool experience preferred
• PCU/Step Down experience preferred
• Telemetry monitoring on the unit required
• No first-time travelers accepted for float pool
• South Carolina license must be in hand at time of submission
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Patient/Nurse ratio of 1:6 with potential flex up to 1:7 when necessary
• Every other weekend required
• Self-scheduling and blocked scheduling allowed
• No RTO for holidays preferred; single holiday RTO may be considered
• Charting system: Cerner EMR
• Patient population: Adults
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Scrub color: Black
• Primary IV skills required; RT covers specialty IV
• Care for patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac diagnoses
• Key skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, wound care, and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
