PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
• No guaranteed hours and no on-call responsibilities
• 24-hour operations Monday through Friday
• 15-bed unit consisting of 3 Step Down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds
• Patient ratios of 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step Down ICU
• Provide primary nursing care including telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood sugar testing
• Utilize Meditech charting, Pyxis medication system, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment
• At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year required
• Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certification preferred
• Must float to all acute units in-house including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER
• Dress code requires scrubs
• Active State of Hawaii nursing license required by start of assignment
