Join Hilo Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. This 91-day travel assignment offers you the opportunity to deliver direct patient care in a dynamic acute care setting while working a varied shift schedule.

About the Role

You will work 36 hours per week following your first week of orientation, with no guaranteed hours and no on-call responsibilities. You'll provide primary nursing care in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit that includes 3 Step-Down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds. Your responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, fingerstick blood sugar checks, and comprehensive patient assessment and care delivery.

Clinical Environment

Patient ratios are 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-Down ICU. You will utilize the Meditech charting system, Pyxis medication dispensing, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment. As part of the nursing team, you may float to all acute units in the house, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and the Emergency Room.

Requirements

• Active State of Hawaii nursing license required by start date
• Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred

Assignment Details

Start date: November 2, 2026. Weekly pay: $2,252. Assignment duration: 91 days. Dress code is scrubs.
