Telemetry RN Job in Berkeley, CA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit at Sutter Health Alta Bates Summit Medical Center Ashby in Berkeley, California. This is a 91-day travel assignment with night shift hours (3x12), scheduled every other weekend with additional weekend coverage as unit needs dictate. You will earn $2,079 per week.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations with a 4:1 patient ratio on nights and weekends
• Perform telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration
• Administer BiPAP/CPAP management and provide wound care and tracheostomy care
• Participate with rapid response and code teams as required
• Complete 16 orientation hours upon arrival
• Respond to on-call requests as needed

Floating and Schedule Details

As a union hospital, travelers float first when needed to other units within scope of practice, including Med/Surg, Summit Campus, or Herrick Campus. A shuttle is provided for campus floats. You can expect approximately 1.5 hours notice prior to shift start time when floating is required. Up to one pre-approved time off request is permitted per contract.

Required Qualifications

• Current California RN License
• 3+ years of RN Telemetry experience
• 6 months of prior travel nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• NIHSS certification
• CPI/MAB certification
• Epic charting system experience
• Proficiency with telemetry equipment and cardiac monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

• Community hospital experience
