ED Registered Nurse Job in Baltimore, MD

MedStar Harbor Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. You will work 4x12 night shifts in a 27-bed ED treating approximately 115 patients daily across all age groups—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Schedule & Compensation

• 12-hour night shifts, 4 days per week
• Weekly pay: $2,390
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: September 29, 2026
• On-call required every other weekend and holiday rotation as necessary

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage patient ratios of 1:4 across all shifts
• Perform triage and charge duties
• Initiate IV access and conduct phlebotomy
• Manage central lines and administer emergency medications
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Provide care for urgent and emergent presentations

Support & Resources

Interdisciplinary teams including interpretation services, radiology, social services, transportation, and unit secretaries support your work.

Required Certifications & Experience

• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years recent emergency department experience
• Completed minimum 1 prior travel assignment
• Charge and triage competency required

Preferred Certifications & Skills

• CPI, MAB, TNCC
• Cerner charting system experience
• Previous charge and preceptor experience (clinicians will receive unit-specific training before charge expectations)
