ICU RN Job in Glendale, AZ

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ is seeking a registered nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. This is a travel position running 89 days, starting October 26, 2026.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the intensive care unit setting
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies
• Conduct patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Formulate individualized plans of care, including discharge planning
• Implement care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching
• Document all nursing activities in patient records accurately and timely
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Provide patient and family education
• Participate in unit shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Possible call and float to support units as needed

Schedule & Pay

• 3 x 12-hour day shifts per week
• $2,434 weekly pay

Requirements

• Current valid RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience
• Experience in specialty area within past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
