Physical Therapist Job in Port Charlotte, FL

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Port Charlotte, FL. This is a full-time inpatient role running 91 days, starting August 18, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment services across all inpatient floors (1–4) in the main hospital building. You will typically work with 9–10 patients per day and maintain a 75% productivity standard. Your responsibilities include using mobility equipment, documenting in the Meditech electronic medical record system, and collaborating with approximately 20 PT caregivers on the team.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8 days). You will work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Requirements

• Valid Florida PT license
• MPT or DPT degree from an accredited college or university
• Acute care experience required
• Collaborative and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
• Meditech experience preferred
• ICU experience preferred

Compensation and Logistics

Weekly pay is $1,752. Assigned parking is available on the third or fourth floor of the parking garage.
