CVICU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as an RN in the CVICU at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting March 30, 2026, with three 12-hour night shifts per week (6:45 PM–7:15 AM). You'll earn $2,102.40 weekly.

As part of the 16-bed CVICU float pool, you'll manage patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity. You'll float to all areas as needed and work in an RN-only staffing model with no unit secretaries or technicians.

Clinical Skills Required:

• ICU experience with capability in ECMO, LVAD, and cath lab recovery procedures
• Proficiency with vasopressor titration, sedation, and paralytic management
• Ventilator, tracheostomy, and telemetry interpretation expertise
• Hemodynamics knowledge, PA catheter setup, and interpretation
• Equipment operation: ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia units
• Participation in procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis

Preferred Skills:

• IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
• CCRN certification (recommended but not required)

Practical Details:

• Documentation via Cerner system
• Onboarding includes 4-hour hospital orientation and 8-hour floor shift
• Dress code: all navy or navy and white scrubs only; no pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs
