Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend requirement with 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• Every other holiday requirement
• No on-call or standby requirement
• 2-3 days of unit/department specific orientation required; must be in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 based on acuity
• Float within Zone 3 region covering a 60-mile radius from the zone's city center; responsible for obtaining housing that makes this feasible
• Work in a Level 3 Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 20 beds and 2 trauma bays
• Average patient volume of 150 patients per day
• Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
• Must be proficient with common ER drips and standard emergency medications
• Required to read and interpret telemetry strips independently as no monitor technician is available
• Will be trained to perform Point of Care lab testing
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for breathing treatments and ABGs
• Charge nurse takes a patient assignment
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Driver's license must be submitted
