Med Surg RN Job in Maryville, TN

Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for our orthopedic unit in Maryville, Tennessee. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with every other weekend coverage subject to operational needs.

Position Requirements

• Active Tennessee RN license or multistate license
• Minimum 1 year of orthopedic specialty experience
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred

Clinical Responsibilities

You will care for adult and geriatric patients with a typical ratio of 6 patients per shift. Your responsibilities include accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, performing central line blood draws, managing colostomy and ileostomy care, providing feeding tube management, caring for patients with orthopedic trauma, managing peripheral nerve block catheters, maintaining PICC lines, supporting total joint replacement patients, monitoring telemetry, starting and maintaining intravenous lines, and managing peripheral line care.

Facility Details

The hospital utilizes Omnicell for medication management and EPIC for electronic health records. Floating to similar units based on your skill set may be required as needed.

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026. Your weekly pay is $1,944.
