Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM as a registered nurse on the Medical-Surgical unit at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is a 13-week travel assignment with 3x12 hour shifts.

Assignment Details

• Weekly pay: $1,930
• Night shift position with every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours (indicate on submission form)
• Patient ratios of 1:6–7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed)
• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs

Your Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Utilize the nursing process to provide care for post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information

Equipment and Technology

• Nova Meters for blood glucose monitoring
• Alaris IV pump and Kangaroo pumps
• SCD machine
• EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Current RN license; must be licensed in Missouri or meet criteria for Missouri licensure
• 1 year of Medical-Surgical inpatient experience required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA preferred
• Black scrubs; no open-toed shoes
• Night shift orients on day shift; must be available the entire week for orientation
