ED RN Job in Gilbert, AZ

You will work as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Banner Gateway Medical Center, located at 1900 N Higley Rd in Gilbert, Arizona. This is a travel position with a duration of 89 days, starting October 5, 2026.

Position Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. Your responsibilities include assessing patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs. You will review patient histories and physical examinations with patients and families, ensuring completion within appropriate timeframes. You will review diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers.

Key Duties

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies
• Formulate and implement plans of care, including discharge planning based on assessment data
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records accurately and timely
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care
• Participate in unit shared leadership and education of facility personnel
• Maintain standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics

Requirements

• Current valid RN license in Arizona or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to emergency department
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

Schedule and Compensation

You will work 3x12 night shifts. Your weekly pay is $2,434.
