Med Surg RN Job in Kansas City, Missouri

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a travel RN for a 91-day assignment on the Med Surg unit. This is a seasonal opportunity running from November 30, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Med Surg with nephrology focus on a 20-bed Transplant Nephrology unit (6W)
• Shift: 4x12 nights (7 PM–7 AM)
• Weekly pay: $2,370
• Hours: 48 guaranteed per week
• Patient ratio: 1:6

Unit Environment

• 3 weekend shifts required per month
• No on-call requirements
• Unit secretary available during daytime hours
• PCTs and unit educator on staff
• Virtual nurse completes patient admissions so bedside nurses can focus on direct care
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Agency and contract nurses float first per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• RN credential with ADN required
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in Med Surg, nephrology, kidney transplants, renal care, and dialysis

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs required; black scrub pants permitted

This assignment provides exposure to transplant nephrology nursing in a structured team environment with strong support staff and clear patient assignments.
