ED Registered Nurse Job in Davis, CA

Sutter Health Davis Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will work a variable shift schedule including 1:00 PM–1:00 AM, 4:00 PM–4:00 AM, and/or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM on a 3x12 nights basis, with every other weekend required (2–3 weekends per month). There is no on-call or float requirement.

You will provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department with a daily census of 100 patients and 28 rooms. Your patient ratio will be 4:1 across all shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. You will care for patients across all age groups—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—presenting with diverse conditions including abdominal pain, asthma, CVA, head injuries, seizures, spinal cord injuries, burns, gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation, sickle cell crisis, and mental or behavioral health conditions.

Core responsibilities include:

• Triage and initial patient assessment
• Arterial line management and central line care
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams.

Requirements: Valid California RN license, minimum 3 years of emergency nursing experience, and current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC). Epic charting system experience is required. Previous charge experience is preferred.

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,506.98.
