NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Must be willing to serve as Charge RN
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• 3 shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment
• 2+ years of hospital/NICU specialty experience required
• Experience with care for infants requiring CPAP or ventilation required
• Experience with central lines required
• Stabilization experience and attending deliveries required
• Developmental care experience required
• Procedures performed include assisting with line placement, circumcision, and intubation
• Experience with GE Bedside Monitors, GE Giraffe and Panda Warmers, Natus Neoblue phototherapy lights, and Neomed and Medfusion Feeding/Medication pumps
• Documentation using Meditech and CPN systems; Meditech experience preferred
• May float to Newborn Nursery as needed
• Family centered care experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
• Active RN license required; temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Royal Blue Medical City Healthcare scrubs required (purchased from Scrubs and Beyond)
• No nail polish, artificial nails, gel, or next gen nails permitted
• Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer
• No extreme hair styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be neatly trimmed
• Body art must be covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose rings and tongue rings
• No perfumes or lotions permitted
