Operating Room RN Job in Rockport, ME

Pen Bay Medical Center is seeking an experienced OR Circulating Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Rockport, Maine. You will work as a 1:1 circulating nurse in a smaller facility OR setting across multiple service lines.

Assignment Details:

• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Four 9-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating days off (or four 10-hour shifts if preferred)
• Call shifts required: one weeknight call per week (4:30 PM to 7:00 AM) and one 48-hour weekend call every 6 to 7 weeks
• No scheduled weekend hours outside on-call obligations
• Weekly pay: $2,990
• Start date: October 18, 2026

Role Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of OR circulating experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience plus travel experience
• Experience in a smaller facility OR
• Experience across multiple service lines
• Preferred service line experience: Ortho, Urology, OB/GYN, General, and ENT
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required for on-call duties)

Responsibilities:

• Serve as circulating nurse with 1:1 patient ratio management
• Operate standard OR equipment and navigate EPIC EMR system
• Participate in room turnovers and OR team tasks
• May occasionally assist on other units for 1:1 coverage during low census periods
• Demonstrate team player mentality and flexibility

Scrubs are provided by the facility. This role is ideal for an experienced circulating nurse comfortable in a smaller healthcare setting who values collaboration and adaptability.
