PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts
• 3 weekend shifts required every 4 weeks
• Patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5
• 20-bed unit with nursing and PCT support staff
• Must have CVICU experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
• Minimum 1-2 years of PCU experience required
• Advanced skills needed including occasional trach/vent management, chest tube management, trauma patients, and pulmonary toilet
• Work with equipment including Baxter pump, SCD, telemetry, 12-lead EKG, OGT with tube feeding, and high flow oxygen
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
• Floating policy: Will take same patient ratio as unit floated to
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Virginia license or compact license required at submission
• Required dress code: Navy blue scrubs
