ED RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Banner Baywood Medical Center, located at 6644 E Baywood Ave in Mesa, Arizona. This is a travel nursing assignment running for 89 days, starting February 1, 2027, on a 3x12 night shift schedule at $2,434 per week.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for emergency patients according to organizational policies and professional standards
• Review patient history and physical examination with patients and families, ensuring timely completion
• Review diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and medical plans, including discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care, coordinate and delegate health care team activities, and supervise team members
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, adjusting the care plan as needed
• Document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Participate in unit and facility shared leadership, contributing to education and orientation of personnel
• Precept and mentor other staff as appropriate

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with experience in an acute care setting within the past 12 months in the emergency nursing specialty
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Use of standard precautions due to exposure risk to blood and bodily fluids
