PCU RN Job in Sun City, Arizona

Banner Boswell Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for a progressive care unit (PCU) position in Sun City, Arizona. You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment where clinical judgment and collaboration are essential.

Position Overview

As an RN in the PCU, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with organizational policies and standards. You will complete comprehensive patient assessments that address physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and discharge planning needs. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will formulate individualized care plans and educate patients and families about their care and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a progressive care unit setting
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Delegate appropriately and supervise healthcare team activities as needed
• Document all nursing interventions and patient responses accurately and timely
• Participate in patient and family education initiatives
• Supervise staff and workflow as needed
• Float between Boswell and Del Webb campuses as operational needs require, with Boswell as the primary campus

Requirements

• Current valid RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Must have worked in an acute care setting within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations

Assignment Details

This is a travel position with an 89-day duration, starting November 23, 2026. You will work a 3x12 day shift schedule at $2,541 per week. The facility location is Banner Boswell Medical Center, 10401 W Thunderbird Boulevard, Sun City, Arizona.
