Med Surg RN Job in Augusta, GA

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 38-bed medical surgical unit at Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. This is a 98-week travel assignment with a start date of September 14, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3x12 night shifts
• Weekly pay: $1,792
• Every other weekend shift required
• No call requirements
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract

Unit Details

• 38-bed unit with average daily census of 33
• Patient population: adolescents through geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
• Remote telemetry and medical surgical diagnoses
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Experience and Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
• BLS certification required
• 24 orientation hours required
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed

Systems and Skills

• Required systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Skills include med/surg nursing, rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, and isolation precautions/PPE

Support Available

• IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

Holiday Requirements

If one or two major holidays fall within your assignment, you are expected to work those holidays. If three major holidays fall within your assignment, you are expected to work two of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
