CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Mixed schedule of 12-hour and 8-hour shifts per week with both daylight and evening hours
• Shift times include 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• 3 days per week with an estimated 12 hours per week
• Every other weekend or every third weekend coverage required based on department needs
• Independently perform computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration
• Utilize complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data
• Demonstrate proper technique in venipuncture and proper use of power injector according to set protocols
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and department policy
• Assess patients for potential risk factors prior to administration of contrast media
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results
• Document patient history in electronic record as required
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are entered
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program required
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry date or date of hire
• Required certifications and licenses: ARRT Certificate, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC), Basic Life Support (BLS), PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73
