Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• On-call may be required as a last resort
• Floating to other units required as needed
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5 during day shift and 1:6 during night shift
• Charge nurse present on every shift and takes an assignment
• Nurse aides and patient care technicians available to assist with vitals, bathing, blood glucose monitoring, phlebotomy, and ADLs
• Both self-scheduling and block scheduling are permitted
• Holiday shifts assigned on a rotation basis
• Experience in medical cardiac care required
• Must be proficient in titrating drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem
• Responsible for reading own ECG strips using GE telemetry monitors with virtual monitoring support
• May work with High Flow oxygen and BiPAP equipment with troubleshooting responsibilities
• Common diagnoses include medical cardiac conditions, specifically congestive heart failure (CHF)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Charting system: EPIC
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
