Telemetry RN Job in Memphis, Tennessee

Methodist University Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position on a 45-bed Med-Surg/Tele unit in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a night shift role working 4x12-hour shifts at $2,486 per week for a 91-day assignment beginning October 5, 2026.

Role Overview

You will care for adult and geriatric patients in a team nursing model with a patient ratio of approximately 1:6 or 1:7 per RN, working alongside an LPN and Med Nurse. The unit maintains a daily census of 30–35 patients and specializes in surgical oncology with medical oncology and medical-surgical overflow. You will manage central lines (PAC, PICC, midlines), perform wound care, drain management, ostomy care, and Foley catheter care. Qualified ONS nurses administer chemotherapy; all staff manage PCA pumps. Limited phlebotomy coverage is available at night.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Med-Surg/Tele experience (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers must have 5+ years specialty experience
• Active RN license in Tennessee or NLC compact license
• Current BLS and NIHSS certification
• IV start and conscious sedation skills required
• Chemotherapy administration certification for qualified nurses

Schedule & Flexibility

Night shift with on-call coverage as needed. Weekend coverage required; weekend block schedule may be discussed during interview. You may float between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius. You must be willing to work 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all fall within the assignment, or at least 1 of 2 if only two fall within the period.

Skills & Support

EPIC experience is preferred but not required. ADN accepted; BSN not required. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation.
