Telemetry RN Job in Memphis, TN

Methodist University Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Telemetry unit in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Telemetry (Med/Surg)
• Shift: 4x12 days
• Weekly pay: $2,488
• Unit census: 42 patients across 47 beds
• Patient ratio: 1:6–7 using a team nursing model with RN/LPN/PCT for 12 patients
• Patient population: Adults and geriatrics

Requirements

• Current RN license (ADN accepted)
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (strictly enforced)
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted only with 5+ years specialty experience
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications
• EPIC charting system experience preferred

Essential Clinical Skills

• Telemetry remote monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Central line management and blood draws
• Chest tube care and tracheostomy management
• BiPAP/CPAP management and blood product administration
• Continuous bladder irrigation and feeding tube care
• Heparin and insulin administration
• Wound care, wound vac, and ostomy management
• Port access and CVA management

Scheduling & Expectations

• Weekend coverage required as needed; weekend block schedules may be considered (discuss during interview)
• On-call as needed
• Holiday coverage: Must work 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays if all three fall during assignment, or at least 1 of 2 if only two holidays occur during your assignment
• May float between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius

You'll have access to interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy.
