Med Surg RN Job in Iron River, MI

Aspirus Iron River is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week Med Surg position. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 3x12 schedule with every weekend required and every other holiday rotation. This role offers 36 guaranteed hours per week at $2,611 weekly pay.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care for primarily geriatric patients with conditions including CHF, COPD, and diabetes
• Work on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Float to Emergency Department within your competency as needed
• Manage charting in Epic EMR with CareScape patient monitors and Pyxis medication management

Scheduling Notes

The unit may operate at low census, and you may be placed on call with a 2-hour minimum call-back requirement.

Required Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Associate Degree or Certificate (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
• Strong charting experience with Epic EMR, CareScape, and Pyxis

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification
• Emergency Department experience
• Combined Med/Surg and ED experience highly preferred

Any colored scrubs are acceptable. The contract begins September 21, 2026.
