Med Surg RN Job in Midland, MI

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on a medical-surgical unit at MyMichigan Health - Midland. Your role centers on caring for medical oncology patients, medical step-down patients, and general medical overflow. You'll provide skilled nursing care aligned with physician-authorized treatment plans and established nursing standards.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct nursing assessments and administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Respond to patient call lights, assist with transfers, and monitor alarms
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and patient conditions, collaborating with the care team to update and revise care plans
• Process physician and provider orders accurately, completely, and promptly
• Follow up on medication changes and clarify orders as needed

Schedule and Duration:

You'll work 3x12 hour night shifts with an every-other-weekend requirement. There are no on-call responsibilities. This is a 91-day assignment beginning September 28, 2026. You'll earn $2,227 weekly.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Michigan nursing license with LARA and/or Nursys verification
• 2+ years of Med Surg experience
• Oncology experience required
• Comfort with step-down patient care
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Skills checklist current within one year for Med Surg specialty
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior travel work history
• Epic EMR experience

You must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
